About this listen
Nora Arnsby fights her way into a world dominated by men.
When a break-in shatters the sense of home she's created, Nora can’t find her footing. With the intruders growing bolder and her safety at risk, she reaches out to the only person who will listen, even if it means asking a man for help. The stranger across the street is handsome and persistently kind, so different from other men.
Mathias Horton refuses to let any woman get close to him.
Nursing a broken heart and equally shattered dreams, he wants to avoid the new hat maker. However, he can't stand to see anyone in need - especially this one. Her spirit, determination, and bright blue eyes compel him to do what he can to help her...protect her. But the more time he spends with her, the more he begins to care.
Mathias must resume the life he gave up to save the one who ignites his battered heart, or admit defeat and let her go back to Deadwood.

I Loved listening to this story!!!!
I loved listening to this book written by Kari Trumbo and narrated by Carol Grace Anderson.
I've really enjoyed meeting the different Arnsby sisters and the men they fall in love with.
Though in this book I can't help but miss Beau. Nora mentions writing to him; but he never appears, nor do any of the other sisters or their husbands, they only gets mentioned and that's it.
I can't help but feel sorry for Mathias when Beau find out what liberties he took however small they may seem, or that he seems to have married Nora without Beau's knowledge or consent; although, that could just be part of the story not included in the book.
For Nora and Mathias' sakes I hope the latter is true more than the former, because Beau will not be pleased at all with either of them.
