Summary
New name. New family. Shiny. New. Me.
Annie's mother is a serial killer. The only way Annie can make it stop is to hand her in to the police. But out of sight is not out of mind. The secrets of her past won't let her sleep, even with a new family and name - Milly. A fresh start. Now surely she can be whomever she wants to be. But Milly's mother is a serial killer. And blood is thicker than water....
She is, after all, her mother's daughter.

Haunting. Horrifying. Utterly brilliant.
If you like thrillers, you will be hard-pressed to find better than this. The narrator does a brilliant job, and I wish I could give more than 5 stars for it. Even if you've read the print version, I would recommend listening to this, it adds so much more to it.
Just, please, before you download, understand that the narrator is portraying the character of a deeply disturbed young girl, and that is the reason for the monotone delivery. Reviewers saying they couldn't listen to it and hated it because of the narrator are completely missing the point.

Best book ... fantastic narration.
Would you listen to Good Me Bad Me again? Why?
Yes it's the best book I've listened to, I couldn't stop listening. Others have complained about the narrator's voice being too monotone, but i disagree, she changes her voice to suit the characters. The main character having been through great trauma and abuse is bound to affect how she speaks. Love it.

Well read, shame about the plot
i had read other reviews about the narrators voice being monotone but it's an actor,.acting appropriately, for what the character has been through. However the plot, such as it is, seems weak and is mainly about post trauma recovery (which is interesting) but I just prefer a good old thriller!

Had me gripped
This is about child murder and child abuse, bullying and cruelty so not for the faint hearted. However it is well written with some nice twists. The narration is a bit laboured but it matches the character. Recommended although the subject matter is disturbing.

Nice Psych-Triller
Performance was first disturbing and unnerving - but eventually it made sense.
Conclusion was a bit too obvious.

Not any easy listen
This is not an 'enjoyable' book but it is a compulsive listen. Certainly not run of the mill with an original and uncomfortable plot.
I was not initially happy with the narrator but as it progressed she became 'right'
It has my five star recommendation but it is not a book for everyone

Just amazing - a review of Good Me, Bad Me
Wow what can I say except this is one of the very best audiobooks I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. I binge listened. Such a gripping and believable story with excellent narration for all the characters especially the main character Milly (nee Annie).
The dark secrets people keep.
I really felt for Milly I longed for her to have stability and be truly cared for on a permanent basis not temporarily, especially after what she's been through, but at same time knowing what I know about her after listening to whole story , would I honestly want to foster her if it was me in place of her foster parents ? The darker scenes with her friend Morgan are fascinating and quite disturbing.
Many different themes going on in this story including nature vs nurture, survivor guilt, the strength of blood ties despite an abusive relationship, school bullying facilitated by social media, the way children can be really cruel to each other and how adults are often blind to this - interesting parallel to Lord of the Flies especially as this is being done for the school play.
This will probably be classed as a psychological thriller , which is the reason I went for it in the first place, but it is so much more. Absolutely worth a credit .
Just wish there was a sequel ! would love to know how Milly evolves as she gets older.
