Summary
Discover how to stop struggling and find fulfilment, joy and inspiration by saying F**k It to the stress, problems and chaos in your life.
The international bestseller that sparked the F**k It revolution!
Like a magical modern mantra, saying F**k It can transform your life. It's the perfect Western expression of the Eastern spiritual ideas of letting go, giving up and finding real freedom by realizing that things don't matter so much (if at all).
It's the very power of this profanity that makes it perfect for shaking us out of the stress and anxiety that dominate our meaning-full lives. It's a reminder to stop listening to other people and start listening to ourselves, to take that leap and to unlock freedom and happiness by saying these two magic words to all the problems and chaos of life.
In this revised and updated edition, with brand-new chapters and insightful perspectives on the world we find ourselves in today, John C. Parkin shares humorous personal anecdotes, authentic advice and essential F**k It techniques alongside exploring a whole host of worries and stresses to which we can to say, F**k It!
Critic reviews
‘Stressed, angry or upset? Then try F**k It therapy.’
- Sunday Times Style magazine
‘John combines Wayne Hemingway’s style with Eddie Izzard’s flights of surrealism.’
- The Guardian
‘This year, dare to say F**k It... I did it. I relaxed, let go, told the truth, did what made me happy and accepted everyone... I don’t feel like a martyr and I had real fun.’
- Red magazine

Good parts but still entertain our sense of being separate individuals
There are some good parts in this book but I don't think it is the same material as The Power of Now as the author compares at the beginning of the book.
There is still a sense of "I am the doer" or free will which goes against zen or other Buddhist traditions.
Regarding all the author's comments on the pandemic, I think that was really when people should have been "f**k it" practitioners by quickly realising the whole thing was over exaggerated from lockdowns to the ineffective vaccination campaign. F**k it to TV and to the news fear mongering would be the advice I would add in this book really.
I think the "f**k it" attitude the author describes naturally comes with age and with years of disappointment and disillusionment. You naturally learn to spot BS and say "f**k it" when needed.
The book might be handy for some though.
