Entendemos por arquitectura barroca un estilo de construcción y decoración característico, que comienza a instalarse en Europa a finales del siglo XVI y perdura sin trascendentales variaciones hasta la segunda mitad del XVIII. El siglo clave, pues, del arte barroco es el XVII.
