Summary
St. Andrews, Scotland: Renovation works on the famous Old Course golf course uncovers the remains of a body in a shallow grave—two bullet holes in the skull. DNA confirms the victim as Rab Shepherd, the missing brother of Scotland's late crime patriarch, Jock Shepherd. Best yet!
Great narrator - he plays a major role in the continuing success of this series of books. I always struggle with piecing everyone together - always - yet it doesn't ever distract from the overall pleasure.

Never fails to be excellent
The DCI Gilchrist series is a joy to read and to hear. I can only applaud both the author and narrator for the continued excellence.
The plots are original and satisfying and never fail to confuse the reader - in the best possible way!

A bit predictable
Too many simple solutions to the theme & too little observance of modern police restrictions on involvement so was a pleasant but definitely unreal event

Loved it!
I've really enjoyed this series. Lovexallbthe characters brought to life by outstanding narration. Gripping plot with twists and turns that kept me hooked. I'm looking forward to the next one already!!

Always good but this one I have found hard to put down.
