About this listen
He’s got pirates behind him, sea monsters ahead of him and a boatload of passengers that refuse to get along.
It’s been a year since the events in Niagara Falls. Things have generally gotten better in the wasteland and civilization is starting to take hold along the rivers.
No one knows where the Librarian is, or if he’s alive, but there’s a man and a mastiff running passengers from Hannibal to Cairo that might have an idea as to what really happened.
Life is starting to return to normal along the river if you don’t count the pirates and the sea monsters. But all of that is about to change and the end of the world may never be the same again.
The Duck and Cover Adventures continue in book five, Crossroads of the Apocalypse.
It’s still the end of the world as you’ve never known it.

Apocalyptic fun-fest.
I got a three-book package and thought it was a risk worth taking for a credit. What surprised me was how a seemingly generic set of scenarios could be woven into an unmistakable series of adventures. To be taken as seriously as Indiana Jones and with credulity suspended, these have entertained me, no end. A combination of Boys Own adventure and teenage humour, beautifully written and flawlessly entertaining in it's narration, transported me in a way only the finest stories do. I love these romps because, for all the genericism, they are the finest in their genre.

Gripping from beginning to the end
Just when i thought you couldn’t add something new to a post apocalyptic book then came along Duck & Cover.
Comedy, pirates, amazing battles under unthinkable odds, a talking dog & a touch of romance . These books just keep getting better.
I hope these not a long wait until the next one

Nice bit of escapism
Love how the librarians story is progressing , nice balance of suspense and amusement in a series that's not taking itself too seriously.
looking forward to the next book.
