About this listen

Blood Slave

Captured, taken from her beloved family and woods, Aria’s biggest fear is not the imminent death facing her, but that she will be chosen as a blood slave for a member of the ruling vampire race. No matter what becomes of her though, Aria knows that she must keep her identity hidden from the monsters imprisoning her. She has already been branded a member of the rebellion, but the vampires do not know the true depth of her involvement with it, and they must never know.

Though hoping for death, Aria’s world is turned upside down when a vampire named Braith steps forward to claim her. He delays her execution, but Aria knows it’s only a matter of time before he drains her, and destroys her. Especially once she learns his true identity as a prince within the royal family; the same royal family that started the war that ultimately brought down humankind, reducing them to nothing more than servants and slaves.

Aria is determined to hate the prince, determined not to give into him in anyway, but his strange kindness, and surprising gentleness astonish her. Torn between her loyalties to the rebellion, and her growing love for her greatest enemy, Aria struggles to decide between everything she has ever known, and a love she never dreamed of finding.

Good story

I enjoyed the book but have now continued the series on my kindle as I couldn’t stand the narration. It was cringe worthy turning the characters weak and wish washy!

Book 1 of 7

I enjoyed this book but I didn't realise there are 7 books in total to complete this story. I won't continue with this story because 5 of them are not included with the membership and need to be bought with credit.

I would have loved to of known what became of Braith and Arianna. I will wonder if they get a happy ending.

Very enjoyable

What a great brutal world this is. I love how these characters come alive with each other. With good strong characters and good chemistry between them it’s a hit. A great performance.

Boring and ridiculous

This storyline is so slow paced it practically had me asleep, only the annoyed frustration of how ridiculous it is kept me awake.

The main character aria is supposedly a warrior, an amazing hunter, a rebel who plans raids and the person the other rebels look to... this is mentioned often... yet the personality we spend the whole book with is a pathetic whiney little girl that doesn’t yet know her own mind.

She spends the whole book going I know now this vamp is good... 2 seconds later...I know now this vamp is bad ...2 seconds later (you get the idea)

She’s supposedly captured as a blood slave and has heard all the rumours of what that means, how awful it is, yet it takes her until over half way through the book to question why she’s being treated differently, the Amazing ‘rebel’ also reacts emotionally every time she’s faced with danger or an opportunity.... ridiculous

Having listened to the whole book, I honestly wish I hadn’t bothered and returned it 2 chapters in

Couldn't carry on

Maybe I'm getting too old at 28 but this was so cliche and had serious teenager vibes. The story was so boring, tried for about 2 hours but nothing really happened. I like romantic suspense but this was just painfully boring. I didn't like the narrator either, really forced and dramatic.
