A masterpiece.
I have just finished listening. What a novel. Dense, detailed and utterly captivating. Coupled with the best narration I have ever heard. Wonderful.

Outstanding
I loved this novel. Andrew O’Hagan’s plot, characterisation and turn of phrase makes for a compelling read. A well spent 10 years Mr O. Don’t take 10 years for the next novel! Tick tock….

excellent and brilliantly narrated
witty, engaging with a breadth of detailed and believable characters who play out their endeavours for good or ill. An excellent description of post pandemic London and the social strata of our society.

A feat of narration
An absolute tour de force by Andrew O'Hagan, handling a myriad of characters from all backgrounds with ease. And Michael Abubakar's narration, in managing all of them, is honestly extraordinary.

Narrator is astonishing, story is timely
The narrator performs brilliantly a very diverse cast of characters with such breadth, humanity and skill.
The story itself is a great sweeping narrative that feels like a modern Dickensian tale. At times biting, funny, tragic, brutal and satirical, this is one of the best listens I’ve had in ages.

stick with it
I found this hard at the beginning because I didn't like the characters but I stuck with it.
a complicated, modern story that brought a tear to my eyes at the very end.
congratulations to the narrator for a great range of voices.
