This was very much NOT the way my playthrough went!
It’s been a very, very long time since I completed Throne of Bhaal on the PC, but I remember enough to know that this depiction was vastly different to how my version went. The narrator is great, but the story is only ok.
At least Imoen was a great deal less annoying in this one.

The reader performed okay.
Quite like the other books, the story keeps advancing at an inconsistent pace and jumping from a scene to a scene abruptly.
As long as the listener can separate the story in the books from the game, it is an okay experience. I wouldn't praise the series as a must-read for any DnD fan, but if you have run out of other content, the books offer something small. Who wouldn't love to read/listen about a certain redheaded barmaid?
Due to the inconsistent pacing, I often found myself drifting and losing the threads; other than that, I enjoyed the experience the books offered.

Not good
I found it was poorly written, the main character was a mary sue with the combat and dialogue overdrawn. Twists carried no shock or emotion for the reader and felt very dull.
If you're getting into Baldurs Gate 3 though characters are in this that are also in the game, this seems to be non-canon to the game.

Disappointing conclusion to the Saga
I’ve loved BG for decades, ever since first having to swap CDs to access Friendly Arms Inn. But this book sucks, and is a disappointing conclusion to the saga.
Die hard fans only, anyone here for a good audio book look elsewhere; and even die hard fans will be disappointed
