About this listen
The advertisement offered the ultimate Virtual Reality experience. Using a new technology known as Immersive Virtual Reality or IVR, you could truly experience the game as if you were in it. For someone who has been confined to a wheelchair all of his life, the promise was impossible to ignore, but only a few would be invited to take part in the Alpha test of the new game. Devon decided he would be one of those few.
To ensure he would be chosen he took the most unlikely combination of skills specializing primarily as a craftsman and secondarily as a healer. The best race for these skill trees is a Gnome but that further weakens his ability to fight and survive. Still, it is only the Alpha test and once in he can change it when they move to Closed Beta.
What could go wrong? Soon he finds out just how weak his choices seem to the developers who figure he will die a lot and always be a nobody. Name chosen, Gnobody sets out to take on Angromoria and it is everything he could hope for, until it becomes the only thing he may ever know.

Great book
Really good story line I really enjoyed listening to this book
But the ending is a little disappointing it feels like it was unfinished and ended in the middle of a chapter
Other than that it was a great book

Great book, another pace
I'ts not battle focused, and I generally like the part where the main character doesn't get everything handed by luck.

Best fantasy title fir a while
Really enjoyed this one. The characters had depth, the story was well paced with several unexpected twists which added dimensions to the tale at just the right times. When I thought it might be a simple world of warcraft story it branched and suddenly got interesting. Great stuff. Looking forward to Beta testing!

Loved it!
Brilliant book. I loved the story line and characters. It leaves you desperate to know what happens next! The only thing that lets it down is how long the stat reviews are. It seemed to take multiple minutes and as I understand reading those wouldn’t be an issue, listening too then is mind numbing. Terrible news about the author passing, but I hope the sequel (if released) matches the levels of this book.

looking forward to the a next book.
I found this book a bit on the tame side.
The main character was too good to be believable, and everthing was a little bit to nice.
but that aside, the book was well written and one i got in to it I found it hard to stop listening.

It was alright but could've been better.
The story seemed nice and all but the book didn't seem like one big story but rather small stories and fragments. Especially how the book ended. It didn't feel like a proper end or a finale but more of a middle. I did hear a second book is on its way, so I'm definitely looking forward to that. I'd still recommend this book if you want to listen to a lit-rpg since it's free at the moment.

Totally fantastic
If you are a fan of from software computer games you will love this novel. It also reminded me of the style of ready player one and the amazing otherland novels by tad Williams. Sad to hear that the author has passed away.

Funny modern fantasy
It was a brilliant listen, very funny as well as easy to understand. Being a gamer I'd love that bag of holding too!
