Summary

In his second skirmish against the Evil Librarians who rule the world, Alcatraz and his ragtag crew of freedom fighters track Grandpa Smedry to the ancient and mysterious Library of Alexandria. Hushlanders - people who live in the Librarian-controlled lands of Canada, Europe, and the Americas - believe the Library was destroyed long ago.

Free Kingdomers know the truth: the Library of Alexandria is still around, and it’s one of the most dangerous places on the planet. For it is the home of the scariest Librarians of them all: a secret sect of soul-stealing Scriveners. Can Alcatraz and his friends rescue Grandpa Smedry and make it out of there alive?

Performed by Alejandro Ruiz, Carolyn Kashner, Christopher Walker, Yasmin Tuazon, Bradley Smith, Eva Wilhelm, Zeke Alton, Chris Genebach, Terence Aselford, Steve Wannall, Ken Jackson, Nathanial Perry, Marni Penning.

Fantastic

We started this audio book in the car on a long journey, and we all loved it. The voice acting is brilliant. I especially liked the jolly voice of Grandpa Smedry, but all the actors were all excellent. Our 9 year old is hooked and is now listening to book 2. The wry dialogue is very fun and made us laugh quite often. I much preferred this to the Artemis Fowl books.

Comic book story that doesn't work for me!

Listened to the first book in this series and thought it might be worth listening to the series. Sadly the second book didn't grab me and if anything made me realise that comic book audio does nothing for me. Loved everything else Brandon Sanderson has done but this isn't on the same level.
