About this listen
Violet never wanted to move to Perfect. Who wants to live in a town where everyone has to wear glasses to stop them going blind? And who wants to be tidy and perfectly behaved all the time? Violet quickly discovers there's something weird going on - her mam is acting strange, and her dad has disappeared.
When she meets Boy she realises that her dad is not the only person to have vanished...and that the mysterious Watchers are guarding a creepy secret!

Hard to understand
It was a good story but I was listening to the same chapters over again. This could be better, I still liked it though. I liked that It turned out that Perfect was not what it seemed and the tea and the glasses stopped it. The Archers are truly evil 😈. I think it is good for 7 years and up.

Fantastic story,😀 annoying narrator 😕
I liked this story a lot, especially the plot twist. I knew from the start that the Archers were evil 😈. The narrator was very annoying, but overall it was really great! 😀 I really recommend this to anyone who likes adventures and mysteries... 🔍 I love this story and hope that others will also listen to it as well. Recommended for ages 10-16. ✨️✨️✨️ Hope you enjoy! 🙂🙂🙂

Fantastic!
This book was absolutely incredible! The only thing is that the narrator was a bit annoying but the story was fab. I would recommend this book to 9-12 year olds because there is a surprising amount of violence. Great book totally recommended!

Good start, though inconsistent
I struggled to finish since it lost my interest about half way. Narrator is quite off-putting.

blooming loved it!
I've flitted around from all of Phillip Pullman's novels in one go, to gritty police drana/thrillers ,.historically based mysteries and back to a right good story aimed at youngsters and I have always known that this is my go to genre and I'm 48....and I will not apologise for it. Such imagination and humour and a VERY good reader too, totally recommend!!!
