About this listen

Overall Winner of the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2021

Sunday Times Children's Book of the Week.

The Times Children's Book of the Week.

A Kind of Spark tells the story of 11-year-old Addie as she campaigns for a memorial in memory of the witch trials that took place in her Scottish hometown. Addie knows there's more to the story of these 'witches', just like there is more to hers. Can Addie challenge how the people in her town see her and her autism, and make her voice heard?

A story about friendship, courage and self-belief, perfect for fans of The Goldfish Boy.

Fenominal!

Super story and grrat narating! I was reccomended it and told that every 11-13 year old should read it and it didn't dissapoint! It is based in Juniper, just outside Edinbrough so I thought it was good of audible to give the book a scottish nerator!

Definitely a favourite!!

I really enjoyed this book because it was heartwarming and comforting as well as interesting and exciting!!! It’s long enough to properly get into it but short enough to not lose interest. I recommend this book for 8-12 year olds !!! LOVED IT!!!

Brilliant book

Didn’t want it to end, should be compulsory in schools. Neurodiverse children are amazing, different isn’t less.
