Summary
A neurodivergent's guide to embracing your true self and finding your happily ever after.
Growing up, Chloé Hayden felt like she'd crash-landed on an alien planet where nothing made sense. Eye contact? Small talk? And why are you people so touch-oriented? She moved between 10 schools in 8 years, struggling to become a person she believed society would accept, and was eventually diagnosed with autism and ADHD. When a life-changing group of allies showed her that different did not mean less, she learned to celebrate her true voice and find her happily ever after.
This is a moving, at times funny story of how it feels to be neurodivergent as well as a practical guide, with advice for living with meltdowns and shutdowns, tips for finding supportive communities and much more.
Whether you're neurodivergent or supporting those who are, Different, Not Less will inspire you to create a more inclusive world where everyone feels like they belong.
Chloé Hayden is an award-winning actor and disability advocate, motivational speaker and social media influencer whose story of being 'different, not less' has attracted a worldwide following. She stars as Quinni in Heartbreak High, the Netflix remake of the iconic Australian series.

This audiobook portrays the experiences of many neurodivergent people (including myself). A must listen for any neurodivergent person or neurotypical who wants to support them.

Chloe Hayden
I read this book as a primary school teacher who is constantly trying to find ways to support neurodivergent children in my care. So sorry that the Australian education system let Chloe down.

A great autobiographic/self help book by an autistic person for autistic people
Chloe’s storytelling is fabulous and this book is such a must read for anyone entering their journey as a newly discovered autistic person. It is also a fantastic resources for loved ones. If there’s one book you should read, or listen to, in order to understand a neurodivergent friend, colleague or family member, it is this one.

Fantastic book!
All I can say is thank you! Both for the relatable content and finding out that there are more people like me out there and for the education on the subject.

Excellent Book - A Living Hero
Chloe is a hero for those who are different. She articulates in a very entertaining fashion what it is like to grow up as an autistic person and the challenges we face. Some of her storytelling moved me to tears. A great book.

Magical!!
What a book.
An what a story.
Whether you're neurodiversent or not, this book is amazing.
A real insight into the reality of being neurodiversent, whilst living in a neurotypical world.
Chloe tells her story in the most fascinating way.
I'd add, her narrating and humour adds that a little extra something.
This should be mandatory read for both neurodiversent and neurotypical children and adults.
