Zach Berman covers the Philadelphia Eagles for PHLY, where he co-hosts a daily online show and leads the written coverage of the team. Berman spent four seasons covering the Eagles for The Athletic and seven seasons as the Eagles beat writer for The Philadelphia Inquirer. He wrote the 2018 book, UNDERDOGS: The Philadelphia Eagles' Emotional Road to Super Bowl Victory. He previously covered the New York Giants for the Newark Star-Ledger and the University of Virginia/Virginia Tech for The Washington Post, and was a contributor for The New York Times. Berman was named Pennsylvania Co-Sportswriter of the Year in 2018 by the National Sports Media Association. He's also twice been honored by the Professional Football Writers of America. He is also an adjunct instructor at Colorado State University, where he teaches media and content creation in the Sport Management graduate program. Berman graduated from Syracuse University in 2008 with majors in Magazine Journalism and Political Science and a minor in History. He now lives in the Philadelphia suburbs with his wife, Emily, and two children.
