Thank you for checking out my Amazon Author Page. In case you’ve stumbled on here by accident, I'm the author of the DC Alana Loxton psychological thriller series. The first book is Before I Say I Do, where a bride’s worst nightmare comes true when her groom goes missing on their wedding day. The sequel, Your Life or Mine, follows DC Loxton as she finds herself the target of a serial killer. I'm a detective constable in the Metropolitan Police Service. I've been a uniformed response driver, managed High-Risk Sex Offenders in the community, worked in CID and in the Serious Organised Crime Command. I'm currently on a 5-year career break while I focus on writing. I hope that my career in the police gives my crime novels a realistic feel and a sneak peek into the way the police work. Before I Say I Do won the Write Here Right Now competition 2018, was shortlisted for the First Novel Prize, the Virago New Crime Writer competition and Peter Fraser Dunlop prize. I’m currently working on the third in the series, which is about identity and the ties that bind. I’m hoping that it will be ready soon, so watch this space! When I’m not writing, I'm currently being kept busy by two of the most demanding bosses I've ever had, a toddler and a baby.
