Venus (34-year-old) mother of one, was born in St. Thomas, USVI and raised in the British Virgin Islands from the tender age of 7 months old. She was born to Livia Donovan-Hodge of St. Thomas, USVI and Vincent Williams of St. Kitts in March 1989. She grew up in the small quiet community of Carrot Bay where she attended the Leonora Delville Primary School and then attended the now Elmore Stoutt High School where she graduated 60th in her class in 2005. At the age of 12 years old, Venus started writing small pieces of poetry but that did not last long as she quickly thrust herself into her schoolwork. At the age of 21, she became a member of a poetry group called C.R.A.K Poetry out of Dorchester, MA where she performed for the first time at Slade's Bar and Grill. Three years later Venus branched off and started writing short stories. To date, she has over 200 pieces of poetry, which she has written over the years. Currently Venus and her son resides in Georgia.
