Susi J. Smith’s dream of becoming a writer began in 2004, when she took a year out after graduation to write a novel. This ‘year’ turned into three, and produced a Poltergeist: the Legacy fan fiction, and two dystopian fiction books (all unpublished). Gap ‘year’ over, Susi returned to university to seek a career, however, her love of writing continued. She focussed on shorter pieces to fit around her studies, and found some limited success writing flash fiction. In 2018, after six years living in the Wild West – also known as Lanarkshire – Susi moved back to her home town of Livingston to raise her family.
