Richard is an attorney, writer and preparedness consultant, who’s on a crusade. After surviving the devastation of his neighborhood by Hurricane Andrew in August 1992, he was inspired to learn as much as possible about urban survival. Almost 30 years later, Richard is still tirelessly promoting preparedness and self-sufficiency to anyone who will listen. His main objective, is to encourage others to be prepared. His books offer practical, easy-to-understand information in a user-friendly format, to help everyday people prepare to survive a natural, or man-made crisis with minimum effort, time and money. Richard is a frequent contributor to a number of popular publications, including Recoil OffGrid, American Cop, S.W.A.T. Magazine, and Prepper and Shooter. He also lectures and consults in the areas of urban survival, preparedness, and contingency planning for business continuity and recovery, through his company Urban Survival Tech, Inc., which he began in 2013. When he's not writing, speaking, teaching, consulting or thinking about urban preparedness, he's busy running his law office in South Florida.
