Born in Glasgow, Paul Carnahan grew up in the Scottish new town of Cumbernauld and studied journalism at Napier Polytechnic (later to become Edinburgh Napier University). He went on to work in various local and national papers in Scotland before leaving the Fourth Estate to fulfil his lifelong ambition of writing fiction full time. His first novel, the powerful time travel saga 'How Soon Is Now?' was released in June 2024, with a second novel – the Britpop-era romance 'End of a Century' – released in February, 2025. He is currently at work on his third book. Paul is based in central Scotland, where he lives with his wife, two children, three dogs, five cats and assorted birds. He continues to champion Kitchens of Distinction as the great lost musical geniuses of the 1990s and plays guitar regularly, but poorly.
