Author Photo: Trix Rosen Muriel Stockdale has for her entire life been fascinated by myths, fantasy, spirituality, and science fiction. She began avidly reading and comparing diverse world creation myths at the age of 10, then moved onto science fiction as a teen. Once she had read everything she could find in that genre she gave up disappointed at finding that the genre rarely explored any evolution of consciousness. Throughout her 35-year career in entertainment mostly as a costume designer but also as a set designer, director, filmmaker, and finally as an artist, she has continued her search. She has read, traveled and studied the teachings and celebrations of many diverse spiritual and religious paths. Always she searched for the meaning and effect of consciousness and how it explains our physical world as we know it. Her goal with Gabriel Born is to explore the interface between consciousness and creativity, between intention and action and to present a window of possibility that might light up, inspire and enthuse her audience. The novel is based on her award-winning film script entitled, “Gabriel’s Flight”.
