Mooji is a true light in this world, whose presence, wisdom and loving guidance have the power to bring one out of suffering and delusion—revealing who we are beyond the limitations of our personal conditioning and identity. For over 20 years Mooji has been guiding seekers worldwide to the experiential and lasting recognition of their true Self. His way of teaching is direct, effective, often humorous and always compassionate. He encourages and points out that Self-discovery is possible and available to everyone because it is already what we are—it is only a matter of coming to and being rooted in that clear recognition. Born in Jamaica in 1954, Mooji (Anthony Paul Moo-Young) moved to London as a teenager where he later worked as a street portrait artist and then as an art teacher in the local college. In 1987, an encounter with a Christian mystic inspired Mooji to 'walk out of his life'—an expression he uses to convey the profundity of that meeting. In 1993, Mooji travelled to India where, seemingly by chance, he met his Master, Sri HWL Poonja, or 'Papaji', as he is affectionately known by his devotees. At Papaji's feet, whatever still remained of an active ego was finally uprooted. Since then, recognising Mooji's radiance people from all backgrounds and traditions began to approach him simply to sit in his presence and ask questions regarding their search for Truth. Through grace, the capacity to guide each one arose spontaneously. Mooji's unity with Truth is potently shared through self-inquiry and the Invitation—unsparing guidance for those seeking true and lasting Self-realisation. Through his talks called Satsang many have discovered and become established in their true nature, finding within themselves the deep contentment, love and silence they recognise in him. Mooji’s profound teachings are now available in many languages. His books include ‘An Invitation to Freedom' (2nd edition), ‘White Fire' (2nd Edition), ‘Vaster Than Sky, Greater Than Space’, ‘Before I Am' (2nd Edition), 'Writing on Water', ‘Breath of the Absolute’ and ‘Mala of God’.
