Harry Navinski has always loved stories, reading by torchlight under his bed sheets when he should have been sleeping. But it never occurred to him that he could become an author. Instead, he pursued a career in aeroplane engineering. Harry spent most of his working life in the Royal Air Force, rising from hands-on work — maintaining, repairing, and launching military aircraft — to senior management roles. His career took him across England, Scotland, Germany, and Malta, and on global travels with the RAF. During his service, Harry created and edited 'RAF Active,' the magazine for sports and adventurous training, drawing on his experiences in skiing, sailing, judo, and scuba diving. After leaving the RAF, Harry dedicated six years to voluntary service in West Bengal, focusing on countering human trafficking. It was here, amidst the vibrant culture of India, that he made his first foray into fiction writing. Upon his return to the UK in 2019, he attended a creative writing course and was inspired to pen his debut novel, ‘The Glass.’ The story features Suzanna McLeod, the great-great-niece of Sherlock Holmes, who has inherited her famous relative’s insightful acumen. Harry's novella, The Test, soon followed, along with his next novel, The Duty, inspired by his anti-human trafficking work. He has vowed to donate all profits from this novel to the organisations he worked with in India. His third novel, The Key to Murder, was published in 2022, and his fourth, The Last Walk, in February 2024. He is now working on his fifth novel and transforming all his stories into audiobooks. Harry’s extensive travels and diverse experiences provide a rich foundation for his compelling storytelling. Readers can look forward to more thrilling adventures, complex detective stories, and insights in his forthcoming novels.
