For fictional author Gia de Cadenet, creating imaginative worlds through words is just as important as breathing. At a young age, she began a love affair with books that evolved into a mission to help others feel seen, accepted, and loved just as they are. Her debut novel Getting His Game Back has been well-received by readers for the hope, inspiration, and closure she illustrated in her relatable depictions of depression and interracial relationships. Through her accurate representation and colorful prose, Gia empowers people to be courageous enough to live their dreams and be authentic with themselves. Outside of her stories, the native Floridian has always been fascinated by the ability to live out different experiences. Gia has been a legislative aide, business school professor, translator and editor for UNESCO. Currently based in Paris, France, with her children, the coffee connoisseur celebrates Fridays with champagne and travels to San Sebastián, Spain, for leisurely weekends.
