I am the Founder and Chief Story Facilitator at Leadership Story Lab where I help executives become more persuasive through the use of story. A self-proclaimed expert in having fun while doing serious things, I first discovered the persuasive power of storytelling during my years working as an admission officer at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. As a top tier school, we had far more highly qualified applicants than seats available. Those who tell compelling stories tend to stand out and win admissions. Since launching the company in 2010, I've coached hundreds of managers at companies such as AllState, BP, Brookfield Asset Management, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Groups, and US Cellular, helping many of them get promoted, excel in their jobs, and motivate their teams and customers through storytelling. To-date my investment-firm clients have raised over $5 billions in new assets under management, and have represented one of the first Western companies to win an account with a prominent Mainland Chinese Sovereign Wealth Fund. Esther has also worked with the boards of directors of nonprofits to enhance their fundraising capability.
