Esteban Navarro Soriano (Moratalla, Murcia, March 18, 1965) is a Spanish writer of crime and detective novels. He served as an officer in the National Police from 1994 to 2018. "El reactor de Bering" was the winner of the 2008 Katharsis Short Novel Prize. The novel "La casa de enfrente" is considered the paradigm of digital publication. "El buen padre" won the Saramago La Balsa de Piedra Prize in 2011. "La noche de los peones" was one of the six finalists selected for the Nadal Prize in 2013. "La cuarta memoria" was awarded by the Lloret Negre Festival as the best crime novel published in 2022. Random House considered him at one time as one of the leading names in contemporary crime fiction, after publishing "Los crímenes del abecedario." Since 2012, he has been regarded as the writer who coined the term Generation Kindle.
