Deborah Frenkel is an award-winning writer of books for children. As a child growing up in the 80s and 90s she thought she'd be a 'business lady' (mostly inspired by a bright red polyester suit skirt in the dressing up box). The closest she has gotten to that is in her day job writing ads for various brands - none of which, sadly, has ever required a suit skirt. She mostly writes wearing leggings. She lives in Melbourne, Australia, on the traditional lands of the Bunurong People of the Kulin Nation.
