Cited by the Science Fiction Research Association (SFRA) as the most popular Afrofuturist author of the new generation in Brazil, his work is marked by the fusion between science fiction, cyberpunk and Afro-Brazilian culture. Finalist of the Jabuti award twice and finalist of the CCXP Awards. He is recognized for his ability to create narratives that explore themes such as Afrocentricity, ancestry, resistance, and imaginative future. Ale uses literature as a tool to highlight social and political issues while offering a powerful and inspiring vision of the African diaspora and its contribution to the construction of diverse and inclusive futures. His writing challenges the limits of what is possible and stimulates the reader to rethink existing social structures, bringing forth new perspectives and possibilities for the black community. With his unique and impactful style, Ale Santos stands out as an important voice in the Afrofuturist literary scene. In 2013, he represented Brazil in the sci-fi anthology "Cautions, Dreams & Curiosities: The Tomorrow Project," and in 2020, he became a finalist for the Jabuti award with the book "Rastros de Resistência," a story of struggle and freedom of the Black People, edited by Panda Books. He was also featured in the 2020 Yes to Racial Equality award in the category of Representation in New Formats and was chosen among the 50 most creative Brazilians by the Wired Festival. In 2022, he became a finalist for the CCXP Awards with the Afrofuturist novel "O Último Ancestral" published by Harpercollins Brazil and was once again a finalist for the Jabuti award in 2022 with the same book. In 2022, he was elected one of the 100 most influential black personalities in the Lusophone world. In 2023, he wrote the script for La Bestia for Assassin's Creed: Visionaries.
