The Quran, a book which brings glad tidings to mankind along with divine admonition, stresses the importance of man's discovery of truth on both spiritual and intellectual planes. Every book has its objective, and the objective of the Quran is to make man aware of the Creation plan of God. That is, to tell man why God created this world; what the purpose is of settling man on Earth; what is required from man in his pre-death life span, and what he is going to confront after death.

The Holy Quran is comprised of 114 suwar (plural of surah, or chapter), each divided into verses. The shortest surah (Al-Kawthar) has only three verses while the longest (Al-Baqarah) contains 286 verses.

Surat al-Baqarah (The Cow) is the second surah of the Qur'an. It addresses a wide variety of topics, including law and the stories of Adam, Abraham and Moses, to name a few. Surah al-Fatihah (Arabic: سُورَةُ الْفَاتِحَة ‎) is the first chapter (surah) of the Quran. Its seven verses (ayat) are a prayer for the guidance, lordship and mercy of God. This chapter has an essential role in Islamic prayer (salat). The primary literal meaning of the expression "al-Fatihah" is "The Opener," which could refer to this Surah being "the opener of the Book" (Fatihat al-kitab), to its being the first Surah recited in full in every prayer cycle (rakʿah), or to the manner in which it serves as an opening for many functions in everyday Islamic life.

ذكر القرآن الكريم لعددٍ من الأنبياء والمرسلين الذين كان وجودهم قبل رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) فيه ما فيه من إعجاز تاريخي‏ يتمثل في سرد قصص هؤلاء الأنبياء وتعاملهم مع أممهم وتفاعل تلك الأمم معهم إيجابًا وسلبًا دون خطأ واحد‏.

يوضح كتاب معجزة الزمان والمكان في في الركن الخامس من أركان الإسلام بعض جوانب الحكمة المكانية والزمانية لعبادة الحج، مع التأكيد على حقيقة أن الأصل في العبادات أنها لا تعلل، لأن العبادة هي خضوع لله بالطاعة.

Surat Al 'Imran (The House of Joachim) is the third surah of the Qur'an. In Islam, Imran is believed to be the father of Maryam (the mother of Jesus). The chapter is notable for attributing feminine origins to humankind. In addition to this, it states that some Quranic verses are allegorical and some are to be understood by others. It also features a disclaimer against misrepresenting the allegorical verses as factual and asserts that a special set of people, those firmly rooted in knowledge, are to be consulted.
