Fabi und Co. wurden auf dem Meer von einem Kreuzfahrtschiff aufgegabelt, das sie nach Finnland mitgenommen hat. Dort sind sie so begeistert von den riesigen Wäldern und Seen, dass sie sich ein wenig umsehen wollen. Milo verirrt sich jedoch und landet in der sogenannten Teufelskirche, einer Felsformation mit großem Steindach. Hier scheinen Höhlengeister zu wohnen. Es dauert eine Weile, ehe der Fuchs und seine Freunde merken, dass die „Höhlengeister“ in Wirklichkeit zwei junge Bären sind, die sich im Dunkeln und mit hallenden Stimmen einen Spaß mit den Freunden machen.

Fabi Fuchs und Co landen in einer wunderlichen Gegend, in der es raschelnd tanzende Zauberdrachen gibt! Und einer dieser Drachen entführt Pips. Nein, also, das geht nun wirklich zu weit! Fabi, Polly, Hendrix und Milo müssen sie befreien. Zum Glück trifft Hendrix die Eidechse Chénlóng, die ist nicht nur ein chinesischer Rockstar und gibt gerade ein Schlagzeugkonzert, sondern kennt sich auch mit den mysteriösen Drachen aus. Mit seiner Hilfe könnte es doch noch klappen, dass Pips gerettet wird...

Fabi und Co. kommen in Nepal an. Es ist ruhig, und eine wunderbare Atmosphäre liegt in der Luft. Ruhig? Augenblick! Wer weint denn da so schrecklich? Die Freunde stolpern förmlich über Shanti, die junge Stute. Sie ist schrecklich traurig, weil sie Ghode Jatra, das Fest der Pferde, verpasst hat. Wer da nicht dabei ist, wird unter den Pferden links liegen gelassen. Das können Fabi und seine Freunde nicht auf Shanti sitzen lassen und lassen sich kurzerpfote einen schlauen Trick einfallen.

Wal Ballenito lädt die Freunde ein, ihnen seine Welt zu zeigen. Dieser Ausflug endet weit entfernt in Japan. Dort ist alles rosa, das glaubt zumindest Polly, die sich in ein japanisches Eichhörnchen verknallt und darum auf Wolken schwebt. Während Polly ihrer neuen Liebe nachstellt, verschlägt es Fabi versehentlich in ein "Streichelcafé", in dem man Tiere kraulen kann. Das ist aber schon ein bisschen viel Mensch. Zum Glück kommen die anderen ihrem Lieblingsfuchs zur Hilfe und finden mal wieder einen guten Weg aus der Patsche heraus und hinein in das nächste Abenteuer.

Die Blaubeerwaldbewohner und Milo sind auf dem Weg durch die raue Pampa zur südlichsten Stadt Argentiniens: Ushuaia. Von den Gauchos, die sie ein Stück mitnehmen, lernen sie das Reiten und Lassowerfen. Doch als die Freunde auf ihrer Weiterreise das Meer erreichen, sehen sie etwas Schreckliches: Das Glattwalbaby Ballenito ist gestrandet! Fabi, Pips, Polly, Hendrix und Milo lassen sich schnell etwas einfallen, um das schwere Jungtier zurück in den Atlantik zu bugsieren.
