For sure change can be scary, remaining static more so! Us humans are creatures of habit and the thought of contemplating doing something absolutely outside of our usual experience is seldom the easy option. You don't have to. Simply being the best version of who we are is what matters, without having to go and conquer the highest mountains. Sometimes the smallest steps can feel to us like mountains to climb and yet when we take that step and then another towards our goals we are conquering our own mountain every single time! And how great is that?

Neuroscience confirms we are all products of the thoughts we have. Our predominant thoughts permeate through every cell of our brain and body creating the person we are. What we intensely focus on with passion creates powerful energy and scientists can physically measure this energy transmitted by our brains. Although this collection includes complete audios of all the books of Dean which were published in the last decade, there are also some poems in here which have never been published before, now made public for the first time in this audio. Here is poetry looking at life. A particular perspective on life which will be alien to many and yet I know through performing these poems in their music form they speak to the hearts and minds of so many others who share my distaste for a treadmill kind of existence. This is my most personal poetry collection to date, here we have quite literally my life’s work or I suppose more accurately it encompasses the story of my journey of personal growth at the point of penning these poems and creating the music album using the poetry as my lyrics.

The only way to awaken all the dormant magic within is to feel grateful that we have already unlocked it. I adore this apparent paradox - Dean Fraser. Living at peace with all that makes you…well, you! This is home…simply takes a change in point of view. Being happy in your skin, everywhere feels like home. Constantly at home wherever you choose to roam. I see them. Seeking a bluer sky. Those streets seemingly paved with gold. A charmed life looked at from a distance. What about me? I am grateful to waken this morning.

The Summer of Love way back in '67 became the starting point of inspiration for this book! These lyrical poems speak of love indeed being all we need, how we can always choose which stairway we're on, saying hello and I love you to yourself, realising born to be mellow, the ways people can seem strange, there's really something about the sun, discovering our inner magic carpet ride in the season of the witch and dragons.

Stress is such a global issue. I had to do something about it. Yet what difference can one person make? Every time I see for myself the transformation someone has undergone through learning how to control their life, rather than events controlling them – I have my answer. And yet I am equally fully aware that all healing is essentially self-healing.

These tales have been inspired and written about places I have visited in the evocative Red Rose County and the people I encountered along the way. Some of these are people I have met, others from the past brought to life once again through the power of words. This is a county I have come to know intimately over the decades, my first live poetry shows were right there in Lancashire and I actually lived within the Preston area when writing this collection. I always see my poetic tales as windows offering glimpses into a frozen moment of time, rather like seeds trapped within amber.
