  • 98. Does living a high-stress life increase the risk of cancer?
    Dec 5 2024

How often do you hear people say, "I'm so stressed!"? I admit that I find myself saying it at least a few times a week.

Today's podcast guest is Kerstin Lindquist, a QVC host and stress expert. After witnessing her mother battle dementia and experience "black spots" on her brain that doctors attributed to stress, Kerstin researched and identified 20 strategies—ranging from simple to complex—to help reorganize your life.

I can't wait for you to hear her suggestions—one of them took me only a few seconds to implement, and I’m already feeling less stressed. Woot woot!

    About Kerstin Lindquist

Over the last twenty years Kerstin has connected on a personal level with her more than 150 million viewers on QVC and network news through confident vulnerability and the curated ability to tell a story that makes you feel.

She currently hosts one of the most watched shows on QVC. Her skillful communication drives more than 250 million dollars a year in direct sales through her presentations on air and online.

Kerstin is an Emmy Award winning, certified health coach and growth strategist, pairing her training in health science with biblical truth. She’s a contributor to publications such as Sail Magazine, Vibrant Life, FoxNews.com and America Adopts. She is the author of two books on faith and wellness.

As a keynote speaker her purpose is to make faith come alive in others. She speaks to individuals and organizations, focusing on wellness, faith, and exceptional sales. She delivers techniques that empower high-performing humans to gain more confidence and create space for joy.

Kerstin is a mom of three. She and her family live on a sunny hill in eastern PA. They spend their free time traveling to places with water, sun, and sand.

    Amazon Store

When I began detoxing my life after being diagnosed with cancer, I felt overwhelmed and confused. I thought I was already making good health choices, but the more I researched, the more I discovered that small changes could lead to significant improvements.

For instance, switching from tea bags to loose-leaf tea can help prevent additional microplastics from accumulating in my body. These plastic particles can affect my hormones and contribute to inflammation.

This was such a simple swap! I was so encouraged that I started to make more simple swaps.

And now, I have an Amazon Store listing many of my favorite detox tips!

    Air Doctor

I’ve been using the Air Doctor air purifier for almost a year, and I absolutely love it!

I first heard about it from Dr. Mark Hyman, and even though it was a bit of a splurge compared to what I usually spend, I’m so glad I made the investment.

Every time I change the filter and see all the gunk it collects, it just makes me smile knowing it’s doing such a great job keeping my air clean!

  • 97. Things I Wish I Had Known Thirty Years Ago.
    Nov 21 2024

We all have those regrets about things we wish we had done or known sooner in life, don't we?

Lately, I've been having some fun on my podcasts by asking guests what advice they would share with their younger selves. The answers have been so surprising and insightful!

It made me think about what advice I would give my 25-year-old self.

    I'd tell her:

    • Don't make decisions based on fear.
    • Push the pause button before you respond to a negative situation.
    • Don't WORRY! God will always work it out.

I hate to admit that I've spent a considerable chunk of my adulthood making decisions based on fear.

    Fear complicates, and truth liberates.

I wish I would have understood that in my younger years.

But it's never too late, and I can tell you that cancer changed me.

I had a choice of being frozen by fear or pushing the pause button when fearful thoughts came rushing in. Pushing the pause button, for me, meant taking a moment to breathe, ask more questions, gather more information, and not get caught up in the whirlwind of fearful thoughts.

I can't say that I never go down the rabbit hole of scary thoughts, but it happens much less often than it used to! That's progress, baby.

Listen to today's podcast if you're ready to conquer fear with simple tips. My interview with guest Jamie Winship transformed my life.
