The St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bandung, the capital of West Java Province, obtained building permits. However, attorneys for area residents claim they were granted through improper means and without their permission. Christians in Indonesia say they are routinely pressured to make extra payments known as “grease” – essentially a bribe -- to local officials or residents in order to obtain construction permits in the 83% Muslim country. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Muslims set new convert’s house on fire, killing whole family A Christian family in Uganda, Africa died for their faith last month. Back in November, 64-year-old Kaiga Muhammad, his wife Sawuya Kaiga and their son Swagga Amuza Kaiga, age 26, came to faith in Christ through a local church. The pastor of the church said the family requested prayer for their son who had malaria. The pastor told Morning Star News, “We prayed for the son, and immediately he was restored to good health.” However, Muslims in the area found out about the family’s conversion to Christianity. On December 26th, they set the family’s house on fire, killing all three. Please pray for persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in Uganda. Psalm 116:15 says, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.”

While analysts have largely panned the planned elections as a meaningless exercise meant to whitewash the military junta’s undemocratic seizure of power in 2021, some of Myanmar’s neighbors seem ready to accept the elections as legitimate. According to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners, the junta has arrested 28,051 citizens since the 2021 coup, many for participating in the country’s pro-democracy movement. More than 21,000 of that number are still imprisoned to this da

But it’s a lot more difficult when violent activists are trying to shut you down—and when the local police aid them in silencing you, reports Alliance Defending Freedom. That’s what happened to Pastor Matthew Meinecke of Seattle. But thanks to the efforts of ADF, this evangelist is once again free to share the Gospel on his city’s streets. Meinecke has been publicly ministering in Seattle for years. He reads the Bible aloud and often holds signs and hands out literature.
