• 03 Jan 25 – The Liturgical Rosary
    Jan 3 2025
The Liturgical Rosary WE ARE NOT CHANGING ANY MEDITATIONS OF THE ROSARY. Jesse Romero interviews Author Sister Mary Gabrielle about her new book, The Liturgical Rosary. One thing we find in the Church is not having the need to choose between one or another. The most common examples are: Scripture and Tradition. If asked which was more important, Catholics may have a hard time justifying one or the other. This is why the Church’s answer is Both! We don’t have to choose “either/or” but rather “both/and”. So in today’s episode of the Terry and Jesse Show, we ask which would you rather pray, the Rosary or the Mass? But why not coincide the Mysteries of the Rosary with the Liturgical Calendar of the Mass? It makes so much sense for devout Catholics to synchronize these two aspects of the faith and conform their lives more perfectly to Christ. Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - John 1:29-34 - John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world. He is the one of Whom I said, 'A Man is coming after me who ranks ahead of me because He existed before me.' I did not know Him, but the reason why I came baptizing with water was that He might be made known to Israel." John testified further, saying, "I saw the Spirit come down like a dove from the sky and remain upon Him. I did not know Him, but the One Who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'On Whomever you see the Spirit come down and remain, He is the One Who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.' Now I have seen and testified that He is the Son of God." • 02 Jan 25 – The Evil of Liberal Catholicism, Pt. 2
    Jan 2 2025
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - John 1:19-28 - This is the testimony of John. When the Jews from Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to him to ask him, “Who are you?” he admitted and did not deny it, but admitted, “I am not the Christ.” So they asked him, “What are you then? Are you Elijah?” And he said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.” So they said to him, “Who are you, so we can give an answer to those who sent us? What do you have to say for yourself?” He said: “I am the voice of one crying out in the desert, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as Isaiah the prophet said.” Some Pharisees were also sent. They asked him, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ or Elijah or the Prophet?” John answered them, “I baptize with water; but there is one among you whom you do not recognize, the one who is coming after me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to untie.” This happened in Bethany across the Jordan, where John was baptizing. • 01 Jan 25 – Treatise on Perfection
    Jan 2 2025
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Mk 4:1-20 - On another occasion, Jesus began to teach by the sea. A very large crowd gathered around Him so that He got into a boat on the sea and sat down. And the whole crowd was beside the sea on land. And He taught them at length in parables, and in the course of His instruction He said to them, "Hear this! A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Other seed fell on rocky ground where it had little soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep. And when the sun rose, it was scorched and it withered for lack of roots. Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it and it produced no grain. And some seed fell on rich soil and produced fruit. It came up and grew and yielded thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold." He added, "Whoever has ears to hear ought to hear." And when He was alone, those present along with the Twelve questioned Him about the parables. He answered them, "The mystery of the Kingdom of God has been granted to you. But to those outside everything comes in parables, so that they may look and see but not perceive, and hear and listen but not understand, in order that they may not be converted and be forgiven." Jesus said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? Then how will you understand any of the parables? The sower sows the word. These are the ones on the path where the word is sown. As soon as they hear, Satan comes at once and takes away the word sown in them. And these are the ones sown on rocky ground who, when they hear the word, receive it at once with joy. But they have no roots; they last only for a time. Then when tribulation or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. Those sown among thorns are another sort. They are the people who hear the word, but worldly anxiety, the lure of riches, and the craving for other things intrude and choke the word, and it bears no fruit. But those sown on rich soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit thirty and sixty and a hundredfold." • 31 Dec 24 – One-Third of Catholic Churches Closing in Buffalo, NY
    Dec 31 2024
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Jn 1:1-18 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. A man named John was sent from God. He came for testimony, to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to testify to the light. The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world came to be through him, but the world did not know him. He came to what was his own, but his own people did not accept him. But to those who did accept him he gave power to become children of God, to those who believe in his name, who were born not by natural generation nor by human choice nor by a man’s decision but of God. And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only-begotten Son, full of grace and truth. John testified to him and cried out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘The one who is coming after me ranks ahead of me because he existed before me.’” From his fullness we have all received, grace in place of grace, because while the law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God. The only-begotten Son, God, who is at the Father’s side, has revealed him. Dec 29 2024
Today's Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Gospel - Jn 20:1a and 2-8 - On the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene ran and went to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them, "They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we do not know where they put Him." So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb. They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and arrived at the tomb first; he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in. When Simon Peter arrived after him, he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there, and the cloth that had covered His Head, not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place. Then the other disciple also went in, the one who had arrived at the tomb first, and he saw and believed. Feast of Saint John, Apostle and Evangelist Saint John, pray for us! When they hand you over, do not worry about how you are to speak or what you are to say. You will be given at that moment what you are to say. For it will not be you who speak but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
