Awful awful narrators
They might as have been reading a shopping list. I used to be a teacher and thet sounded like children do when they read out loud.

Maybe skip the first two
I will avoid spoilers but my general ratings per story are
1 - 2/5. Unusual but intriguing story with unfortunately wooden narration
2 - 1/5. Couldn't finish, considered giving up on the collection.
3 - 5/5. Just excellent. A story of two halves, one part sweet and the other suspenseful.
4 - 3/5. An emotional tale that I appreciate but didn't really connect with.
5 - 5/5. A fascinating look at the inner mind of a young actress.
6 - 4/5. An entertaining fish out of water tale. Not very impactful but enjoyable story and narration throughout.

Eugh, trite and facile
I was really hoping to enjoy these shorts. I typically listen to alot of non-fiction so use fiction as a respite from those. I had to stop listening to this selection, the first two were simply dire. The narration if the first is the worst I've ever heard and the story of the second is just plain dull. Such a shame, as I'd love to support the works of budding writers. But, when you listen to the likes of J.G. Ballard's shorts where you are whisked away from the first sentence, it is clear these authors have alot of work to do.
