  • Its Panto Time....Oh yes it is!
    Jan 7 2025

Ah that wonderful time of the year, when we Old Gits can let 'our hair down' (be kind please), and of course show our true acting abilities, whilst we pitch up with our annual offering of thespian beauty.

This year, it is probably a pantomime you aren't familiar with, It's 'So Tight and the Seven Frauds', but hey don't let that stop you from enjoying and revelling in the story, delivery and execution of the plot. (Mind you some have said execution is better suited to the 3 of us after our previous pantos)

We are never ones to pre-judge your reactions or thoughts so in the best of pantomime traditions. Slap your thighs, sit down get your funny bones ready and here we go.

PS...(if you aren't in the UK and unfamiliar with the pantomime tradition look it up first) it will make it much easier for you. (possibly)

  • Hands up if you like a cocktail.......
    Nov 30 2024

Ah yes, I can count those hands from here, whats not to like, alcohol with several different concotions as well as the obligatory parasol and cherry (if they still give the parasol).
Well the three of us were asked the question above, and it seems only one of the 'team', is partial to a couple of these, the classic Brandy Alexander and the Caipirinha. We agreed that we should try a couple on our next day out, although there is not usually too many on offer in the local cafe.

As for having an 'Orgasm' all three agreed, thats not to be sniffed at and on any day, we are sure they go down very well, or at least you can always hope.

PS....... The Orgasm is a rich, smooth drink that combines Bailey's Irish Cream with coffee liqueur and flavors of Amaretto and Vodka.

  • It's NEVER to early for a Christmas market...Is It?
    Nov 19 2024

As we discovered when we visited Bristol's Broadmead Christmas market in early November, you best save your money first. Or, as you would have heard if you saw us, 'how much?'

We did though splash out on lunch whilst we were there, well not so much splashed out on lunch but took out a mortgage on a Bratwurst. Which according to the seller, was a sausage with cheese in the middle that would ooze out when you bit into it. I recommend trying one but don't make the mistake of showing the cheese dribble out to anyone which incidentally reminded us of our misspent youth in the back of a Ford Popular if you get our drift.

We also sampled Mead from https://hivemindmead.com who as you will hear gave us a very good insight and understanding of their products not only that we sampled their wares. It was a very nice alternative to our usual cup of hot chocolate, not only that but here we were in Bristol's Broadmead sampling mead, which broadly speaking made for a good day out. Cheers.
