    To Achieve, You Must Receive

Don’t you want to achieve everything that God placed you on this earth journey to achieve?

Our walk with the Lord is not about striving to gain his good graces. His grace is always there for you. It is not about doing, it is about receiving what he has for you. You can’t earn your way in this life. DIY religion doesn’t work. If we want to achieve greatness in the kingdom, we must believe and receive and that comes with time spent in his presence.

Abiding in the vine allows you to hear the voice of the Lord. We must receive what God has done for us in order to achieve a greater understanding of who we are in Christ and who he is in us. Our walk with the Lord is not about us doing but about us receiving or believing.

We are the branches; he is the vine. You need both to bear fruit. Branches can’t bear fruit without the vine. We can’t do anything without the vine supplying life which keeps the branches alive and then bears much fruit.

  • Episode 93: What is God's Will?
    Nov 1 2024

Even in his most human moment, Jesus said not my will, but your will is all that matters.
Does that mean that all these thousands of prayers we have prayed that isn’t his will falls on deaf ears? Draw your own conclusions. Some preachers say if you have faith, it will be done. I prayed prayers with a lot of faith but not part of his will and he didn’t hear that prayer, or he just said no. Thank God he doesn’t answer all of our prayers. I prayed for God to take me one night when I was in a really bad place. In my early years as a Christian, my dad passed, and I went in with all the faith I could muster and laid my Bible on his chest and prayed for God to raise him up. He didn’t, because it wasn’t a part of his will.

Let’s find out who we are in Christ and who he is in us and then we will know his will.

  • Episode 92: You Too Can Walk on Water
    Sep 18 2024

You Too Can Walk on Water

Before you run down to your local river or lake, please listen to the whole message first. It might not be what you are thinking.

Today we are going to discuss how our faith can overcome fear, doubt and negative thoughts. Our thoughts control us whether they are full of faith or negative thoughts of gloom and doom. This is illustrated nicely when Jesus walked on water.

We all know the story, but let’s review. Jesus told the disciples to get into the boat and go to the other side while he got alone with the father to pray.
Midway through the journey, a storm whipped up on the lake, then Jesus appeared to them as a ghost walking on the water. which scared them. Jesus said don’t be afraid, I am here. Peter asked Jesus to invite him onto the water. Peter was doing fine until he saw the size of the waves and then he became fearful and began to sink. He asked Jesus to save him which he did and then Jesus asked him why he doubted due to his lack of faith.
However, it is not necessary to walk on natural water to follow Jesus. His walking on the water is a lesson in spiritual overcoming.
The water we walk on is all our stress, troubles and pain we experience. Jesus said, my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. If your burden doesn’t feel very light today, take out your walking shoes and put that burden under your feet. It’s time to get above all the stuff. The higher God takes you, the smaller the problems appear.

  • Episode 91: Divine Love vs Human Love Pt. 2
    Sep 11 2024

Divine Love vs Human Love Pt. 2
The biggest difference between divine love and human love is human love usually comes with conditions and divine love comes with no conditions. Depending on behavior and circumstances, human love can wane. If your spouse cheats on you or someone you care about uses and abuses you, feelings inside of us change. Whereas God’s love never changes and its not based on you and your behavior. He loves you right where you are. He so loved the world (cosmos). It doesn’t say he only loved a select group.
The key is this, the more of Christ that is formed in us, the more divine love is formed in us.
What do we need to do to have more of Christ formed in us? Spend more time with him. Don’t look at it as a task. I need to pray 1 hour a day and read my Bible 1 hour a day, no, look at it as, sitting down with your best friend and talking and sharing with one another. Make it a fun time, after all he has all the wisdom and knowledge, and you don’t have to pay a fee to get some. Some people are searching in all the wrong places for answers, when our God has all the answers to everything we need. He desires to spend time with us, we should want to spend time with him.

  • Episode 90: Divine Love vs Human Love Pt, 1
    Sep 4 2024

Divine Love vs Human Love Pt. 1
There is a huge difference between divine love and human love.
The word divine means Godlike, having the nature of God.
God is love and love is God.
Paul clearly shows us the difference between divine love vs human love. We are going to go through 10 ways we can evaluate ourselves on how much divine love has been formed in us. This is not a test, so don’t be too hard on yourselves. We all have a way to go, but this will give you thoughts and ideas to discuss with the Lord during your quite prayer time.We are going to break down 1 Cor 13 in the next two weeks.
1 Cor 13/ Many has referred to it as the love chapter.
    1.
Love is large and incredibly patient. Patience is one of the fruit of the spirit.

Romans 5:3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance (patience).

    2. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all.

Hebrews 13:1 No matter what, make room in your heart to love every believer. 2And show hospitality to strangers, for they may be angels from God showing up as your guests.

    3. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else.

    Rom 12:15

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

    4. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance.

Mat. 23:12 But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

    5. Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Even Jesus said, I can of mine own self do nothing.
We will begin with number 6, next time.

  • Episode 89: The Unveiling...of that which has always been
    Aug 28 2024

What seems new is but the unveiling of that which has always been. We are living in a day of unveiling. God is opening up the heavens and showing his family the kingdom which is within each of us.
Jesus revealed himself to the world at that time, but time went on and man got his hands on the gospel. What was once SOP like seeing and talking to angels, healing miracles, transfigurations, transportation, (when Phillip got snatched away after baptizing the eunuch) and much more. Many folks have been told that all this went away when the last apostle died. Now does that make any sense at all. Jesus said that we will do the same things but even greater things than he did. To see him as I Am, we must allow him to deconstruct and burn away these false ideas and beliefs if we want to move on with Christ.
What seems new is but the unveiling of that which always has been.

So just because it’s new to you, don’t discard it because it is different than what you have ever heard before. Maybe it has been there all along and you just haven’t seen it.

  • Episode 88: Kingdom Reality is Found By Abiding in the Vine
    Aug 21 2024

Kingdom Reality is Found by Abiding in the Vine

When we abide in the vine, our eyes are opened to the invisible realm, and a kingdom reality breaks forth in us and we begin to see the eternal which is where kingdom reality is located. As we remain there, the fruit of the spirit ripens, and we glorify God because we are in union with him and our words and actions are only by his direction.
When we abide in the vine, we are in harmony with God. There is relationship. We know him, not just know of him. We must know him for ourselves.
Our single eye should only be on God because if it is, we become full of light. When we are full of light, we are one with God and we have fellowship with him. If we become double-minded and our eyes are all over the place, then we get carried away by every wind of doctrine and usually we get in the flesh and the kingdom slips away and fears, worries and stress takes over. When we are operating in the kingdom, we experience perfect peace, righteousness and joy.

  • Episode 87: Kingdom Identity
    Aug 14 2024

    Kingdom Identity

The dictionary says out identity is defined as a combination of our physical and behavioral traits that define who we are. We were trained early in life to identifying with who the world says we are, but God has a much better plan for our life. We must experience a spiritual metamorphosis to experience the abundant life that Jesus promised every one of us. A metamorphosis is a transformation or an exchange of one identity for another.
It is high time the church breaks out of the religious box that for hundreds of years we have been stuck in. The wakeup call is now, the trumpet has sounded, and we must heed the call and realize that it’s not about playing church any longer, it is about now taking our rightful place as the church with all the power and authority he has given us. Jesus said, it is finished. He has done lifting; we must do our part.
Many keep trying to pour in new wine into those old religious wineskins and those wineskins just break and all that wonderful new wine of revelation and wisdom spills onto the floor wasted because of man’s traditions and beliefs.
There are many ways to describe our true identity. The only thing that matters is who God says we are. This is what he says about you and me.

    1 Peter 2:9

But you are A CHOSEN FAMILY, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Say this with me, I am a co-heir with Christ (the will has been read and you already possess the inheritance)

Let us read the will together.

    1. I have the mind of Christ.

    2. I have been declared perfect.

    3. I am totally forgiven (no more guilt, shame, or condemnation)

    4. I am loved unconditionally by God (this love is not based on our behavior)

    5. I have been set free from the law of sin and death.

    6. He has equipped me with everything I need to have an abundant life.

    7. I will live forever.

These are just a few of the wonderful things we have inherited from the Father. One of the most important things not mentioned is we are his children, not outsiders, we are family. We can go into daddy’s throne room anytime we want to spend time with him and laugh and cry as we pour our heart out to him and listen carefully to his counsel.
