About this listen
The rules of the road are much different when there are zombies blocking your path.
Matthew, Carl, and Sergio brave the toughest obstacles on the road in this new world. Nothing could have prepared them for what they would encounter. After coming across a well-defended base, they desperately try to make allies. But some of the members of the group have other ideas.
The zombies are everywhere. It’s more dangerous than ever to survive. The new members of their group want to help them survive. But when tensions rise, and one of the members gets lost to the zombies, will they be able to stand by their ethics?
Zombie Annihilation is the second book of the Last Man Standing series.

For the others who can't protect themselves.
The three soldiers had gone in search of laboratory items requested by the two scientists in their little group, hoping to find a cure for the virus infecting their world. The streets of New York were teaming with the zombie-like creatures intent on killing, but some areas seemed quiet in comparison. Very strange. As they travelled through the city they also looked for survivors to add to the small community, Matthew still hurting from the death of his wife.
Zombie Annihilation is a balanced mixture of action and character development, with just enough of both to make this story both different and interesting. The second in a series, it is advisable, but not essential, to have read part one. The book ends on a climax which will have readers waiting for the next installment. Throughout, the narration by Andrew Werhlen is paced to match the text, delivered in fast clipped sentences with clarity and underlying excitement. He gives differentiated voice to each of the protagonists and enhances the reading experience.
Zombie based storylines can become very similar but Max Lockwood brings just enough originality to his book to lift it from the norm. I was fortunate in being freely gifted a complimentary copy of Zombie Annihilation by the rights holder, after I requested it, via Audiobook Boom. Thank you. It is a worthwhile addition to the bookshelves of all who enjoy the zombie genre.

A good second episode
I felt that this book ended too quickly, it seemed like it was an episode instead of a full story.Luckily I have read the first story so that helped.
The narrator was excellent and really helped moving the story along.
I would enjoy hearing the next episode.

Well worth a listen
I thought this book was better than book 1, more drama and shocks and introduction of new characters. Recommended.
