Summary
In this World Mental Health Day Audible Sessions Special, producer and presenter Holly Newson meets 10 individuals who talk frankly about their mental health.
In these conversations, guests share stories about their anxiety, depression, paranoid schizophrenia, eating disorders and other mental health problems. The theme for World Mental Health Day in 2019 is suicide prevention, and some of the contributors talk of their own experiences with suicidal thoughts. The guests also share examples of the things they do to help them manage their mental health and consider how we might progress conversations about mental health as we strive to counter the stigma that often surrounds the topic.
Featuring Jonny Benjamin, Juliette Burton, Alastair Campbell, Scarlett Curtis, Juno Dawson, Dame Kelly Holmes, James McVey, and Mind members Zach, James and Leanne.
This episode was created in partnership with Mind, the mental health charity. If anything in this programme has affected you or you would like to speak to someone about your mental health, please call the Mind Infoline on 0300 123 3393 or visit the Mind website, mind.org.uk.

Excellent support and advice
Audio was good since it covered a range of different people who had experienced poor mental health in various ways for different reasons. It was helpful in that it offered hope that you can get better, is something we all experience as human beings and also gave some useful pointers to aid recovery.

Refreshing
I truly wish that when I started suffering 30 years ago, we could have been as open and honest as these people. I love the fact that people can talk openly without feeling ashamed. Well done.
