Summary
"They say grief passes. They say the pain gets less. Well, I don’t want it to go. I don’t want it to stop hurting. The pain helps me function and get through the day. And it helps me focus on one thing: revenge."
The Morrigan needs to die, no question about that. But first, Wyn and her Guardians need to find her.
While the Realm prepares for war, allies arrive from unexpected places. But there are enemies hiding in plain sight who could stop the war before it's even begun.
Can Wyn destroy the Morrigan without sacrificing the lives of her loved ones?

I really like Win
The story gets better with each installment!! I like Win and her 4 men. Crispen may be my favorite... the one who was broken and is healing! I can’t wait to see what happens.

Totally hooked!
That moment, when you find out a series is not a trilogy and book 3 ends on a huge cliffhanger!! O.O
Now, aside from that, I liked this audiobook a lot. The narration by Laurel Schroeder is fantastic and absolutely captivating. Her male voices are very good and the guardians sound super sexy.
I liked how Wyn's development is portrayed. She's growing into her role, turning from the kind-of-human girl into a demi-goddess queen.
Eagerly waiting for the fourth part to come out on audible now!

Need More!
At the beginning of this book, I won't lie. I didn't love it. It was a very bad disappointment from the first two books. But being optimistic, I decided to stick with it. I'm glad I did. The story was just as intense and thought-provoking as the first two! I can't wait to get the next book in my hands. I fully recommend this book. It's witty and charming and engaging! I recommend reading the first two books first!

The series just keeps getting better
Loved the continuation of Wyns story. How she struggles with her grief and how her guys try to help her with it. The fact that with all she has gone through she still manages to become the leader the realm needs. The growth of the character is amazing. Ever to see how this story ends.

Winter Queen
Gah! Another ending that leaves you needing to know what happens! I love this series so far and really hope the next book comes out soon. Watching Winter grieve and then find her way out of the darkness is painful and so glad when she started finding her way out. Her strength in the love she has for her guardians is phenomenal and what keeps making her become even stronger. I can’t wait to see what else she is able to accomplish in the future.

"My Crispy"
Winter Queen picks up right where Winter Heiress leaves off.
Wyn is experiencing grief from the loss of her mother and seems to have impending doom approaching if she can't rally some allies to help her. I love that she has her guardians to support her through this tough time. I also love that all the guardians are different from each other.
The author's writing is such that you just can't help but fall even more in love with the characters as the story progresses.
Laurel Schroeder has done a great job narrating this series. Of all the books so far, I really feel like this has been her best performance yet. I enjoyed her narration of books 1 and 2, but in this one, I didn't have to speed it up to not be distracted by her cadence at the end of each sentence (which I had to do with books 1 and 2).
I don't think these books would be as good if you had not read or listened to the previous ones in the series.
Side note: it is just too cute that Wyn calls Crispin 'My Crispy'.
Great writing and great narrating, can't wait for more from this author narrator duo!
