Interesting and thought provoking
I found this a really interesting look at how obesity is more than calories in and calories out. What would help though would be a short pdf if the key facts to accompany the book. Audio books are great for absorbing the long read but I always miss the ability to have a summary of key facts which would typically come with the hard copy.

insightful and well supported with good evidential data - convinced me
blows up a few myths and established theory in saturated fats and other contributors to health and weight / i was shocked to learn how some historic data such as the ancell keys research report was so skewed to produce the desired result ( classic confirmation bias ) and il be checking that point that myself
i am interested in the science and. have a few pounds to shed so i feel much better about my ability to manage weight having read this book

absolutely fascinating
An interesting book with analogies to help explain the biology of a human body in lay men's terms. I did have to replay some chapters to get a full understanding but it was well worth it. I shudder to think about the times I have taught the food triangle to children over the past 20 years knowing what I know now.

What a great book
This is the first diet book I’ve read which explains why dieting doesn’t work and tends to make you gain rather than lose weight in the long run. And that it’s not because of lack of will power either. It is a very convincing explanation. And the book then explains how to reduce your body’s set weight which will allow you to lose and keep off the weight and to be healthier. It even suggests an explanation for why some people get worse covid than others. Well done Dr Jenkins.

An absolute game changer. no more fad dieting.
Once you read this book, you will have the tools to control your weight easily, without going hungry. I have lost 9lbs in 2 weeks, just by avoiding added sugar, processed foods, and upping my omega 3. I have eaten Chinese takeaways, and full English breakfasts, and still the weight is coming off. I am enjoying my food and have even started exercising again. I feel like I am finally in control of my weight, after years of yo yo dieting. This book should be given to every obese person in britain.
