Happily ever after?
WhiteChocolate, Weapons, & a Walk Down the Aisle is #5 in the Ooey, Gooey Bakery Mystery series by Katherine H. Brown. As Samantha’s wedding plans are being made, a man gets shot at the bakery’s back door. He utters a strange message for Gladys before he dies. Next thing, Piper and Samantha are dodging illegal arms dealers while shopping for a wedding dress! This book and series had everything this cozy reader needs: good friends, mystery, romance, humor and a happy ending. The narration by Bianca Pierson was great! She had unique voices for the characters and brought the story to life.

A wedding with a bang
I don't normally like short stories because by the time the author has introduced the the characters the story is over but I really enjoyed this book. This is book five in this series and I listened to this book straight after finishing book four, another thing I don't normally do. That shows the author, in my opinion has created, a fun sweet cozy that is full of great characters and humours situations. You have just got to love Gladys and her quirky ideas. I hope the author has a lot more plans for Piper and her friends because I for one can't wait for the next book.
Sam has finally excepted Landon's Wedding proposal and gives her friends a two week warning. Can Piper plan a Wedding for her best friend in just two weeks? Piper and Victoria plan the cake, Flo and BeeBee are doing the flowers, leaving Gladys in charge of planning the hen party. What could go wrong? When a man is gunned down in front of the bakery and he utters the words "A package for Gladys" with his last breath, it seems a lot. The police soon uncover the connection and Gladys is in the hot seat and not just with the police. Can Piper unravel the problems so her best friend can walk down the aisle? Or will the Wedding plans go up in smoke?
I like the narrator. She does a good job of bringing the characters to life and making it an entertaining story.
