A COMMON SENSE FITNESS BOOK THAT WORKS

Would you listen to What's Your Excuse for Not Getting Fit? again? Why?

Actually I bought this for my partner BUT after listening to it together it works for all. The whole concept of having this as an audio book works because you can delve into any of the chapters to find the excuse you were just going to use and listen to why you need to ignore that demon whispering on your shoulder!

What other book might you compare What's Your Excuse for Not Getting Fit? to, and why?

There are loads of motivational books out there - this is from a publisher who has around 7 books out - all in a similar format. Find the excuse you were going to use not to do something, analyse it and replace it with something else - lots of helpful and sensible suggestions in the book. I can't really compare with with anything I have listened to...neither can my partner.

What about Petrina Kingham’s performance did you like?

I like this narrator and follow her. She is clear and engaging, easy to listen to.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

We listened to it in one listening - its a pretty short book but it is something we will go back to when we need to as thats' the way this book works.

Any additional comments?

No gimmicks, no quick fixes - the author explains at the beginning that this is a book about lifestyle changes. Doing something you can fit into your life not a punishment.

Time to get fit

If you could sum up What's Your Excuse for Not Getting Fit? in three words, what would they be?

Funny, honest, and realistic

What does Petrina Kingham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I was surprised to learn the author was in her 50's, she sounds a lot younger, once I realised that, it made it a better listen as I knew she had been through it and really understood the excuses used for not getting fit and the struggle of juggling work and responsibilities. After this I made sure I swam the next morning.

Looking forward to getter her next book.

not much

very short not very insightful saying things like don't like exercise...? find one you like. ?????errrmmmm
