About this listen
Fern has the voice of an angel, but as an underpaid barmaid and pub singer, she's going nowhere fast. Then she enters the TV talent show Fame Game, and this could be her big break. But then, things are never that simple.
Evan David's exquisite tones have enthralled opera buffs throughout the world. Everyone around him panders to his every need, but what he really needs now is a break - from everything. Two worlds collide when Fern becomes Evan's assistant, and neither is prepared for the dramatic effect they have on each other. Something happens when they're together, and it's more than just music....

Hooked
This is one I will remember. It's sad and it's funny and while it's improbable, I feel as if I'd like it to be possible. One part I questioned was the decision to include the pit disaster. the Aberfan disaster is still too raw in my mind to find something so obviously based on it, written into a romantic comedy, it seemed incongruous and unneccessary especially as Evan has no hint of a Welsh background elsewhere.

Another great book
The best part of this book that made me smile was when it mentioned that phone went up to the microphone like a blind man, mainly because I’m a blind man myself The only thing I didn’t think was as good as that it took a while to get going. I would recommend this book to anybody who enjoys a good listen, hense five star rating.

Very enjoyable easy read with a happy ending
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Made me laugh out loud on many occasions, well written, fast paced with some nice twists to keep you interested. Nice to relax with. Love story with a happy ending for all (in one way or another) The only bit when i skipped a bit was the mouse bit (i thought it was unnecessary) otherwise lovely book.
