THE STORY
With only one bastion still standing on the once unconquerable fortress world of Aranua, Warboss Gazrot Goresnappa should be basking in the light of impending victory. Instead, he lies ‘proppa dead’ beneath a decapitated Gargant’s head.
The biggest and baddest bosses from each of the six (no-longer-united) clans step forward to duke it out to become the next warboss – but the ork gods have other plans. A prophecy foretells of a mysterious gate that lies beneath the human city. The one true warboss will be the first to find it, and will use it to turn the galaxy green. Da Genrul of the Blood Axes knows only he is worthy, but it seems Evil Sunz Speedboss Zagnob and Goff Big Boss Mag Dedfist didn’t get the memo. And to add insult to injury, nor did the leader of the grot uprising, the one true prophet of Gork and Mork (or so he claims), Snaggi Littletoof, who seeks to use this opportunity to turn the tide of grot oppression.

narrator went above and beyond
i normally won't Brother to write a review mostly out of laziness but i feel like i have to do it for this one.
I have listened close to 30 Black library titles so Far and in this one The narration is BY FAR The best. In fact it's so good that in My opinion it can definitely be called PROPER voice acting. The only nitpicking i could maybe think of is The female voices but that is not really something you can improve without a separate narrator.
Mike Brooks Also brings a good, fun, interesting and most importantly, orkish story that manages to make you root for the orks while making the ork characters in them, clearly different personalities with different goals and Even principles. The story Also provides insight into the ork society and their way of thinking which is both funny and interesting.
I feel like you should give this a try just for The narration Alone, Harry Meyers definitely deserves far more than whatever he got from this book.

Amazing
Every faction is well written and are very funny. There's something for everyone here even though this is a predominantly Ork book (imperial and eldar fans in particular).

fantastic narration for a book filled with amazing insight
Mike Brooks brings the orks to life and this is only amplified by the narrator as he seamlessly bounces from character to character

Great listen
Fantastic story, a nice insight into orc society. The narration is amazing, brings the orcs to life. Best touch is the chapter count.

Hilarious
Mike Brooks is the go to author for Ork books in WH40k and yet again he delivers a book with action, politics (yes orks have politics!) more action and lots of humour, Harry Myers narration is brilliant and any ork book I read from now on I will hear in my mind his voice
