About this listen
It's hard to fit in where you don't belong...particularly if you belong on a planet 2,500,000 light-years away.
Despite living on Earth for almost 30 years, Simon Armstrong knows he is not of our world.
Still, with his interplanetary mission almost over, he’ll soon be saying goodbye to a life he’s struggled to navigate and the humans he doesn’t much like. The only creature he’ll likely miss will be Merle, the antisocial cat he shares his home with.
Simon does, however, have a minor problem—he has no idea how They will orchestrate his extraction from our planet. With the threads of his earthly existence unraveling by the day, all he can do is wait patiently for a sign.
Then, with time running out, he stumbles upon a significant clue to his departure. What Simon doesn’t know is that clue could uncover a truth more arcane than any alien world.
Critic reviews
“With hints of Gail Honeyman’s Eleanor Oliphant and Matt Haig’s The Humans, Pearson’s latest gem is every bit as compelling as both. A fantastic story, superbly told.” (Gillian Andrews)

Unexpectedly enjoyable
Different from other Keith A Pearson books & took a little longer to get into than some of his other books. If you find the same, do persevere as I felt myself really rooting for the main character & keen to know the outcome. Good narration by Sam Legg. Very enjoyable & highly recommended

Yet another masterpiece from the author.
I have found myself spending money in credits not wanting to wait for the next month.
A great story well told.

10/10 for me
I dont agree this book is classed as science fiction in audible, but I understand why it was.
Simon Armstrong is a wonderful character! Mental health, neuro-diversity and self discovery are all key topics in this book. You will experience frustration, annoyance, humour, sadness, warmth and understanding throughout this book and I entirely recommend the read 📚 👌

Amazing discovery
I first heard Keith Pearson on a radio quizz and he spoke about the fact that he was an author of time travel novels. So on looking him up on Audible. I purchased my first of his books. "Who sent Clement" then I was hooked.
Keith is is a very inventive writer with pathos, laughter, emotion and most of all, intriguing plots.
I couldn't stop reading my first listen and have purchased every book so far that has been released by him on Audible and there is another coming out next month. Can't wait. All of them are great listens.
Keep it up Keith.
