Summary

Waite on the Angel of Death

Death is an angel. His left hand gives life. His right hand has no mercy.

Harmon Waite and his team spring Satan’s trap and end up pitted against an entire world’s black magic. Can they survive evil sorcerers, hordes of hungry dragons, a monster raptor stampede, and an overprotective goddess - in addition to the schemes of fallen angels?

Even if they manage to win out against a planet that wants to kill them, will they be able to return to Earth, or are they stranded on this strange and perilous world for the rest of their lives?

The entire series of 12 novels will embrace the ever-escalating adventures that lead Harmon Waite inevitably into The Celestial Wars.

  1. Waite on the Ripper - a hyper-intense-roller-coaster-ride down a dark highway
  2. Waite on the Blind Angel - a dizzyingly dangerous cat-and-mouse-game with a fallen archangel
  3. Waite on the Hero’s Journey - an out-of-this-world parachute jump—without the chute
  4. Waite on the Angel of Death - a black-magic-showdown with an entire planet

The soul-blessed worlds will never be the same.

Look for book five, Waite on the Trail of Terror, in the spring of 2021.

Hold onto your hats!

We join Harmon Waite, his part-angel friends, the dragon Drac, and their mortal benefactor and father figure to Harmon, Noble Summers where we left off in book three. They were being thrust deep into the Earth or another planet (?) and feared for their lives.

I forgot to say in my review for book three how delighted I was to find Noble Summers take active part in the adventure and he plays a significant role in this book too, as does a new character: the titular Angel of Death Abaddon – and I think we’ll be seeing more of him in the future.

I don’t want to repeat myself again, so instead I’ll just say: Hold onto your hats, fast paced action interspersed with humorous and tender moments; a new world, strange creatures, magi, a goddess, more demons, more Arch angels and even more dragons coming up. WOW!

There is something I can’t avoid saying, so spoiler alert: if you don’t want to know, don’t read between the lines of asterisks next.

***************************************************************************************************
John, how could you kill off Noble Summers?
I loved his stoic, pragmatic style and his interactions with Harmon. I guess at some point someone on the good team had to die and I’d be equally, if not more perturbed if it had been any of the others; so you are forgiven, but I am still pouting!
***************************************************************************************************

At this stage I more than recommend reading the three preceding books. You can follow the current story pretty easily without knowing what happened before, but now some interactions and references don’t make sense without knowing the teams origins and their past experiences.

THE narrator is again/still Dan Johnson and I used capitals for the, because he is amazing and my absolute favourite narrator!
