About this listen

VISIONS OF FLESH AND BLOOD: a Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire Compendium is a comprehensive companion guide for background, history, reader-favorite information, and reference materials. Combined with original short stories and scenes from some of the world’s most beloved characters, it’s a treat for the senses.

Told from the point of view of Miss Willa herself, the compendium acts like research material but reads like a journal and cache of personal notes, allowing the reader to revisit the characters and history they so love yet view things in a different way.

VISIONS OF FLESH AND BLOOD by Jennifer L. Armentrout with Rayvn Salvador is a must-add addition to the series that any Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire fan will enjoy.

Shouldn’t be included in the reading list

This isn’t in any way adding to the story. Like listening to an encyclopaedia interlaced with occasional sex scenes. Very odd. Wouldn’t spend a credit on it if I had realised.

Repetitive and disappointing

I did not find this anything but a little boring. might be a useful refresher if you had not recently read the series but not what I had hoped.

Not really, what any of us wanted out this book?

The biggest problem I have with this book is it doesn’t progress the story in any meaningful way. The whole book is a recap of what has happened in the previous five entries. Which makes it quite boring to listen to.

Unbelievably pointless book

What a waste of a credit! I wish I had read other reviews first. I'm so disappointed and had to skip through the majority of the book. what was the autor on to put this load of rehashed crap together!!

Boring disappointing - wasted book

Repetitive is an understatement with very little learnt or new. Best avoided to maintain enjoyment of the series.

should not be an audiobook

Like a poorly redone clip show of a TV show with many errors. Do not buy.

Summarise of the all books

For the ones who don’t want to re read the all saga before the new release , yes I totally recommend it .

Awful!

I am a true fan of Jennifer Armentrout and I read most of her fantasy books, but this one I have had to return as it’s just awful. Initially I thought having another book telling the same story, for a third time, from the perspective of Willa was a bit of a cop out, but I had enjoyed the one from the perspective of Cas so I went with it. However, this isn’t so much a story than a bunch of uninteresting facts, that if you’ve read the previous books, you probably already know. I’ve only ever returned one book in my history of using audible, but this one had to go. So very disappointed. I hope the next book continues the story and is back to the quality writing we know and love.

Repetitive

Don't get the thought behind this book at all. A really long retell of every character and event written in an "encyclopedia-manner". Felt like listening to a very repetitive dictionary read out load. Couldn't finish.

okay for Reread

As a Reread it is nice, but there is also way to much repetition in this book. if you don't need a Reread, this book is not necessary and gives you nothing new.

this book is a summary of all the books and people, and goes through everyone and their story. And it is fairly detailed, so you get the exact same story multiple times shortly after one another, and that did feel pointless. I wish there was a Index in this book so you could go directly to what you wanted to know. This being said it was fun to be back, and I can't wait for BOBAA.
