Does what it says on the tin!
This book has come along at just the right time. I have already been experiencing the benefits of cutting out sugar but was slipping back into complacency. Unlove Sugar gives the scientific sources to prove that excluding sugar from your diet isn't a fad and that real health benefits occur. The sobering disbenefits of sugar is foggy brain and worse. The case studies are motivational. The 'actionable steps' are powerful and recipes don't leave anything to chance. The recipes for sauces are particularly useful and important - how often can you find these without sugar? The diary and goal setting pages help find and reach your target and mark progress. The best sugar detox book and its not even close
Wow. Listening to this for the first time BLEW me away. I've read some other books on the subject and they just felt like long school reports on the dangers of sugar. This one lays out how we've got the situation we're currently in, then plays out a step by step gameplan to beating your own sugar addiction. There are lots of useful exercises in the chapter so it's more interactive than just passively listening. An absolutely gamechanger.

For sugar lovers....
Given the rising glycemic disorder, I think this book contains a wealth of information. I love the step by step one week sugar detox. The book explains why sugar is addicting and how our taste for sweetness is ingrained in our evolutionary history. I do have a sweet tooth and I’m working on reducing my sugar intake. I learned so much about why we crave sugar and I’m exciting on this journey of unloving it.

Great, PRACTICAL read
As a fitness professional myself, I take pride in knowing all the myths and (a lot) of BS that is out there, ESPECIALLY in the weightloss world. But this book provides practical, effective and accurate information on ways to lose weight in a way that isn't extreme or unsustainable. Sugar is BAD for you, but it is in excess and that is where the real issue is. So even if you are unable to completely eliminate it from you diet, I highly suggest you at least be mindful of where it's coming from!

No Sugar craving anymore !
I finally found the book for me! After several books, I almost gave up on trying to remove sugar from my diet .. the craving came back stronger and stronger than before. However, thanks to the author's advice, I'm managing to do without sugar and stay fit!
