Outstandingly Fantastic
I loved every second of this book! Nobody writes like Lucy Dillon! I laughed out loud several times and cried a few times too. Fantastic, original storyline with amazing characters. I loved the main character. A very well-written book with some unexpected twists. Really excellent narration, the voice artist is brilliant at accents and voices!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, one of my new favourites! I can’t wait for her next book! Keep writing Lucy, you are wonderfully talented! <3

Brilliant
Yes the story is very “happy” and yes you know what you are getting but that is what makes it so brilliant. The narrator brings all the well rounded characters to life making it a really easy, enjoyable listen.

While the groom was sleeping
It's a bit long winded but for a good reason, there is a point to it all, though we don't find out until the end. There are enough twists in this book to make it worthwhile listening to the end. Dogs, engaging characters and catching up with old friends from a previous book are included. Quite a lot of a wedding theme going on here too. The narrator does a really good job with a difficult subject and all the voices are easy to distinguish who's who. Lucy Dillon is always a good storyteller.

Sweet but not too sugary.
A gentle entertaining story, fairly predictable but I enjoyed it none the less. Perfect as a palette cleanser or one to grab if you’re not in the mood for anything too heavy, but don’t want pure fluff! The narrator reads beautifully in her own voice but struggles with some accents, including the main character, at times. Bad accents are a particular bug bare of mine though, and I’ve listened to worse to be fair! All in all a very pleasant listen, a good one for dog lovers too!

Accents
I just cannot listen to this book any more due to the appalling accents. Is the father Irish or Scottish? I spent so much time shouting at the radio in the car yesterday because his accent was Irish one minute and Scottish the next. Sorry, I might just have to read the book rather than listen to it which is a real shame.

Another great story from Lucy Dillon
Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story. The life that Lucy Dillon gives to characters of longhampton and the passion she evokes for the life of the dogs can never be forgotten. Can’t wait for her next book.
